Motorola Droid A855

Getting a stable phone has been hard for me, as my friends can attest.

Right now I am running Sourcery v2.2 and hoping it will continue to stay stable.

Install Motorola Device Manager 2.3.4 which will install device drivers for the phone into Windows XP.
Install RSD Lite 5.6 in order to load the latest SPRecovery into the phone.
The phone should previously be rooted.
Boot into the bootloader by holding down 'power' and 'up' on the navigation pad for a few seconds.
Run RSD Lite. Clicking 'Show Device' should show the phone once it is connected via USB.
Load SPRecovery 0.99.3b and click 'Start'. The phone will reboot after the update is complete. It may or may not succesfully reboot.
Pull the battery out of the phone. Run SPRecovery by holding down 'power' and 'x' on the keyboard.
Copy Sourcery v2.2 to the SD card after renaming it 'update.zip'. Clear all data from the phone and update the phone with the new ROM.

Copy MotoCache1_Complete_Root_v1.1-update.zip to the SD card after renaming it 'update.zip'. Clear all data from the phone and update the phone with the new ROM.
Boot into the bootloader by holding down 'power' and 'up' on the navigation pad for a few seconds.
Run RSD Lite. Clicking 'Show Device' should show the phone once it is connected via USB.
Load SPRecovery 0.99.3b and click 'Start'. The phone will reboot after the update is complete. "Catch the reboot" by holding down 'up' on the navigation pad until the bootloader re-appears. Let RSD Lite finish to "PASS".
Reboot the phone into SPRecovery by holding 'x' on the keyboard until the Motorola logo appears.
Clear all data from the phone and update the phone with the new ROM.
